Her eyes widened at the sudden out burst but soon squinted but with a smirk on her lips as if to ridicule his fury. "Uck. Don't exaggerate. You know what I meant." Part of her wanted to grill him more on the topic of her views on Atherton but was distracted by his story.
"Oh you're just another pretentious knight aren't y--wait! Over your brother's seat? What do you mean?" She inquired before returning her attention to the wound. Even with a limited knowledge in tending wounds, she knew what she needed is to find a piece of cloth and tighten the band around it.
"Give me your handkerchief." She demanded, having her own but refusing to sacrifice it as a band. Natalya extended a waiting hand towards him.

| Alfred Atherton
He sighed off his steam, knowing that it would not do him any good. Might it be that this conversation was progressive in a way, to whatever the talk was progressing upon.
The lady managed to catch his eyes once again when she asked him a sudden question with so much interest, wondering what it meant to her. So now she wanted him to talk about himself. "Why, my lady, are you concerned?" As if her the stress in her words would be mistaken for concern. Curiosity, maybe, something that sparked interest.
Alfred took out his white handkerchief from his pocket and walked to where she was and handed it over, eyes careful to where they should look at. He wanted to help her, he really did. However, the knight doubted his effectivity or her willingness to let him. His own wounds must be bleeding through the cloth placed on them. He was enduring it for now, but maybe tomorrow he would be walking with a stick, if he could even walk at all.
"It's a story many already know, my lady," he began. "My brother is lord, and I was supposed to be his heir before I decided that the role did not interest me."

Ivan was almost disappointed when a few drops of his lavish wine spilled from the goblet when a poor creature bumped into him. The impact was greater on the other's part as he hardly moved from his spot. As a mannerism, the lord smiled warmly at the man. "Why, Ser Alfred. Drunk enough tonight, are we?" Ivan hardly knew the difference between this man and the proud knight, and having been mistaken him for the man he was looking for, he decided to press matters.
"Where's Natalya?" His violet eyes were soft but they were accusing. "You were dancing with her, were you not?"

He beamed when he heard her words that she would teach him how to make the pastries he loved so much. "Really you are quite the sweetheart, I thank you my lady for giving me the opportunity." He tasted the wine once more before eating more of the paired treat. She was delightful company wasn't she, he wouldn't mind spending a few hours with her. "How about I visit your shop and we can talk about times later?" he suggested with a raised brow only hoping she would agree.

| Matthew Atherton
Matthew laughed softly at his words accusing him of being drunk, it was preposterous but he wasn't about to get into any fight with the larger male. He took another sip out of comfort to release the confidence. His brows furrowed as he called him Alfred before it hit him...Alfred wasn't here, he wasn't Alfred...and this man he said his own brother was with someone he obviously knew...a woman. Oh No Alfred did not did he...sweep some girl off her feet and straight into a bedchamber drunk off his high commanding ass. Matthew faked a half-hearted smile looking up at the man. "Unfortunately you have the wrong guy...you see I'm, um Matthew Atherton, his brother." He told the tall male. "You probably saw the resemblance and on the other note I think we may be looking for the same person, my brother." Gosh he was annoyed with him already and now where was he oh if this man found out he would be furious he already looked scary enough smiling. "But I am sure he will be back soon maybe he had some business to take care of." There it was what Matthew always did cover for him and so he did it again, trying to save Alfred's precious golden ass again.

| "I'm honored that you are excited to have me as a teacher. I promise I'll do the best I can teaching you." Emma said to him, her face turning red at the thought. Could she really teach the Admiral how to make pastries for his crew? She found herself getting flustered at him merely complimenting him. How in the world was she going to stay in a closed space with him (and only him) for a long period of time without making a fool of herself?! She clearly couldn't do it! She'd freak out and run away before it even finished, or end up making a mistake as she taught him. The fears of things that could possibly happen were starting to climb against her. Still, she couldn't say no to him. If she did, he would move on to another shop, stealing all of her business. And she frankly didn't want to see her competition with him either. "I'd be delighted. Why don't you stop by first thing tomorrow?" She suggested, clearly showing her enthusiasm as she hid her anxiety. | |

"Please. If I want a proper fool, then I would hire myself a jester." She rolled her eyes, snatching the handkerchief from him and folding it to fit the bind around the wound.
"You-- an heir?" Natalya scoffed. She pulled the ends of the fabric to secure its position, cringing to the pain it had caused. Finishing, she finally leaned back and tossed her head back to shut her eyes and suppress the stinging.
"Speaking from everything that I have seen within the day, I'd say you have done the right choice... But then again, I want House Atherton to perish..." The belle jabbed. "What a wasted opportunity." Whether he could or couldn't tell, part of her is surprised to know that this man was supposed to be the heir of the house itself. Being one is a massive responsibility, she knew that clear. And little by little she began to unfold that maybe he wasn't as hollow she thought he is. He is the Lord Commander, after all... Maybe he's worth of more substance, even if it's just a little bit.

The shorter blonde shrugged at the question, holding his cup of wine as his eyes slowly roamed around. He thought of looking around the different groups of the castle, see if there are some strange things about the place and maybe go exploring. Lukas was a very adventurous person after all, and this castle was kind of huge, a lot of places to look into. But maybe he should ask for Trym's company when he would do that..? Maybe...
Lukas looked over at the piece of food that the other was holding out for him and eyed it reluctantly at.first, his eyes staring at it then back at Trym, his brows just slightly furrowed. He contemplated if he were to take it by his hand or just take it by his mouth. Hm, it wasn't everyday Trym would feed him something so better take the chance? He leaned his head forward and took the piece of food, chewing slowly. Huh. It was actually pretty good...

"Does that mean ya don't care? Don't know? That's okay!! I have many ideas!" Trym had like two ideas, but he was good at improvising... sometimes. "You like dancing, or? Hmmm... We could stay here! Or look around this place, maybe? It's fucking gigantic" Almost as big as your ego, Trym.
Trym hadn't really expected Lukas to actually allow him to feed him, but he was pleasantly surprised. He smiled down at his friend. "You like it? I thought that it tasted very nice! Our food is still better though-" Trym really didn't want to admit that someone could ever do something better than the vikings.

"I suppose so, but I doubt you'd enjoy the presence of a jester. What would make you smile, I wonder." It was a mystery for him now. The north was known to be cold and harsh. He had always wondered how people survived the northern winters. Perhaps they lack colorful sceneries; might it be a reason why the lady may appear so cold and angry at the world, most of such anger directed to him.
"I don't regret my choice. I take more pride in my achievements than what I attained through birth. It's all a matter of decisions basing on what makes you happy." Alfred decided to ignore her nasty comment about House Atherton once again. Adding fire to an already existing flame would not lessen the damage, or was he in the mood to fight back against her sharp tongue. "Are you happy, Lady Natalya?" Alfred smiled at her once more, maybe this time it would work, who knows.

"Yes... business. I'm sure he's quite... occupied." The knight was eyeing his sister earlier, which made him unworthy of Ivan's trust. He did place his trust on a lot of peope anyway, but this one was worthy of his suspicion. He swirled the wine inside his cup, regarding Matthew with careful examination. Now he saw the difference.
"Forgive me, my lord, it was an honest mistake." He wondered how much more wine will it take him to pass out in front of this crowd. "A word of advice, my friend. Put down the wine. You don't want to make a laughing stock out of House Atherton. But I don't blame you, the wine is rather exquisite." And in that note, Ivan took another sip from his cup.

| Palace Garden // Natalya Czarina
His question did make her heart stop. Figuratively, at least. Her eyes opened, leading her gaze into the dark abyss of skies covered with stars. A beautiful sight, indeed. But not enough to keep her grounded after the question Alfred shot that caught her off guard. It was a stupid inquiry, she knew. Yet she couldn't help but to be surprised on how inconvenient it is.
She ran her answer again and again inside her head before speaking. And even when she did speak, her voice is wispy as if unable to find her motivation to give her answer. "That is not relevant." Her eyes were jaded, looking away from the skies and to take a glimpse of him.
Oddly, she couldn't even answer the question to her own self. A naive person might even say that she doesn't deserve the feeling to long for something unknown because the stability of her future is already decreed. And how could Natalya oppose her brother, seeing him as the most agreeable man this kingdom could have? Definitely not him, but of the feeling that she could never have the freedom to choose her own judgement with her own discretion. Maybe she was just being selfish -- often that's what the house's septa and maesters would tell her if they were to know. A female's power could never be recognized in this place anyway. Which is half of the reason she joined the fighting pits today... only to be inferior to Alfred, unfortunately.
"We're through this. I'm heading back." Having her mood spoiled (even if her personality is already rotten), the belle forced herself to stand up with a determination to return to the castle.

Trym looked pleased when Lukas took the piece from his fingers, Lukas noted as he turned his attention to his cup, taking another slow sip as he listened quietly to the other. Dance..? It wasn't really a bad idea, he thought, although he was a little insecure about himself. He shrugged at that suggestion, but considered on doing that later, maybe? He surely would like to have a dance with their Earl...
"Maybe we should explore the place?" he said, looking up at the taller blonde and finishing his cup. It would also be good so Trym wouldn't get drunk on the first few hours. Maybe he could just get drunk when Lukas was satisfied of the night and that he wouldn't be complaining about how Trym was heavy because he was already content.

The question was of little salience, if one was to think about it, but Alfred anticipated her answer. He waited through the brief silence, wondering what thoughts did he provoke in her mind. He wanted for her to vocalize those thoughts. She was already sharing bits of her experiences, and maybe with a bit of luck she would let the words slip through her lips.
Sadly, the lady could not give him an answer tonight. There was anger within her, he knew. What was left to be discovered was the things that lie beyond the all hate and discontent. May he be damned for this, but he grew a liking toward her. Strange.
"I'm sure you'd find your answer some time soon. And do tell me once you do. I'd like to hear from you." Grinning, the young knight offered his arm as a sign of courtesy. It would be her choice to whether or not take it, but he would prefer escorting her this way. Maybe he would be of actual help. "Shall we go?"

| A tiny smile graced his lips for a split second. She cared far too much in his opinion, but she was sincere and kind. "It's alright, I barely felt anything." He reassured her and began to move once again in unison of the simple dance steps.
Emil cast a glance over his shoulder to find Lukas , but he couldn't seem to find him. A tiny twinge of panic flooded his chest, but then internally rolled his eyes at his worry. Lukas wouldn't leave, he was most likely keeping an eye on the Earl. And for good reason too, Emil wasn't too sure that Tyrm wouldn't accidently offend a high official of this kingdom.
"Do you think you are ready to move a little faster?" Emil asked curiously. "You learn quickly."

She smiled sheepishly, and resumed to their position. "If you say so, Emil. But I think that, yes, I'm ready to speed things up!" Michelle replied with the usual enthusiasm, giving Emil's hand a gentle squeeze. On cue, she moved her feet, her eyes darting back and forth to the others, their own feet and then to her partner's face.
Wow. The longer she stares at the silver-haired boy's face, the more she finds his eyes really pretty. For a slight moment she lost her concentration while dancing, lowering her head as she let out a small giggle. A few missteps were made but none really distracting like when she stepped on his foot.
"Ah, I'm so sorry about that." The belle turned to him with a smile-- lilkely suppressing her laughter. "I... Well, I just really think the color of your eyes are beautiful. I actually don't know why I laughed," She explained as they continued to dance to the music, moving and keeping up with the other pairs.

"I never said I don't have an answer. It's just none of your concerns." She snapped, trying to mask her confusion with a frown on her face.
Natalya raised an eyebrow to the arm that he offered, but accepted it nonetheless. Best to save her energy before faking her wounds once returning to the building. "Oh don't hold your breath, Lord Commander," she rolled her eyes. "As if we're friends." The scorn on her face us very well evident. If only he was keen enough to drill her contempt for him in his brain.
But above all else, something useful did come out of tonight's encounter. Though she wouldn't obviously count him as a friend, certainly the Lord Commander have left the list of her foes. And to this, she relied on his beliefs enough not to mask the pain of her wounds -- causing her to limp and shift a portion of her weight on Alfred to ease the hurt.

His smile brightened at the lady's suggestion. He would be happy to drop by tomorrow, he knew at least his crew could handle things tomorrow without his presence being needed directly at the ship. "I would be delighted to join you tomorrow." He was ecstatic, not even sensing the young woman's nervous thoughts. As much as she would freak out about it Antonio really wouldn't care, he was too easy going to worry about those sorts of petty things. He was there to take a break from the ship anyway and maybe taking up a hobby would be a good thing for him. "And then maybe we can set up sessions." his grin widened as in his head he imagined them both having fun, it was such the stress relief he needed and he knew he would want more. He chuckled softly realizing how forward he was. "I apologize Miss, I was just...I am looking forward to it a lot really."

When he heard the voice in his ear to put down the wine he knew it was the right thing to do. He couldn't imagine it if he did pass out but the beverage was helping everything else. His brother better have been truly busy as he could already see this man going against his brother and it wasn't pretty. "Your right, I shouldn't have drank so much." he laughed nervously shaking his head. "I'm just worried about Alfred..." It wasn't all he was worried for but it wasn't a lie. "If I may ask who you are sir?" He was curious about the large male before him.

"I have no honest idea what could get into Ludwig," the older Ritter admitted with a slight shrug. He seriously didn't believe any sort of late pubery would be the cause, the only logical explanation would be wine or other drink.
Well, that was an interesting choice of words from Roderich. "It truly has," Ulrich nodded in reply.

| "I'm glad. I'l be waiting for your arrival at my shop. I apologize in advance if it's not what you expect. My bakery isn't that very big. It's small, so it's easier to work in. It's usually bigger in the back though where all the baking happens." Emma explained, moving her hair from her face once more. She couldn't help but chuckle at his enthusiasm. "Please don't apologize. You remind of the children who come to the bakery to learn. I'd admirable in all honesty. However, something has gotten me confused. If it's not rude of me to ask, why are you so interested in baking as a hobby? A member of a royal family as well as the Admiral of the Golden Fleece. Do you current hobbies not please you?" She asked curiously, not wanting to sound rude in any way. She was just extremely curious that someone with such a high standing decided to pick up such a hobby that considered something that commoners would only partake in. Maybe there was more to the man than met the eye, and she had hoped she would figured out how much more there was to him. | |

In the best sense, he could agree with her that it was absolutely none of his concern. But that would not stop him from trying. "What am I, who will keep your secret from the knowledge of others, if not a friend?" But what more can a man like him offer aside from tight lips? Something must be done to compensate for all the harm that he caused her, and these stab wounds were not enough of a reminder. At least he was of use to her now. "If there's anything you need that I can help you with, my lady, I will do my best to tend to it. We are, after all, friends."
Her struggles were evident. He was keeping himself from faltering in front of her. Alfred was in no condition to fight, every movement required effort and endurance. He kept himself from making any comments about her own effort to keep herself walking. He had apologized enough, and if she did not change her mind about him by now, what good would another apology do? He wished there was a way to ameliorate the situation, but that was entirely up to time and that was something beyond his control.
"Thank you," he muttured before parting. "For your time." It had been bittersweet, but the flavor was pleasing.

It fascinated him how different yet alike the two Athertons he met that night. He wondered what it was like growing up in such a lavish house, born with a silver spoon in their lips. Did it make them stronger or weaker, he thought.
"Ivan from House Czar," he intodruced himself, wondering how the younger would react to that. He wanted to know just how his family was perceived in the southern lands, having that not many of them could have the will or the privilege to travel up north. Upon the mention of his house, Ivan straightened up his posture, to make known the kind of pride he had. And of course, that gentle smile of his never wavered.

"A confidant, most likely. A girl would ordinarily forgive her friend if he breaks his promise to keep his mouth sealed. I'd see it myself to have you killed, if so."
"Friends..." She muttered, scowling at the thought as if disgusted but decided to refrain from wasting her efforts to correct him again for how many times tonight. Natalya had no idea if he /is/ stupid or purposely neglecting what she says. The latter, she doubted. Maybe he's not really the sharpest tool on the shed. Quite dull, in fact. But he would serve his worth, if he knows how to keep her secret.
Out of customs, she curtsied once they have entered the hall to part way. She took a sharp breath to shake off the pain of her leg and resumed to see her brother, acting as if she never left.

"It does not matter to me what your bakeries size is, sometimes the small ones are the best ones, I can already see that I will enjoy my time there." He wanted to assure her this would be a fine arrangement. He just needed to get away himself and take a break. Antonio was a man of relaxation anyway. She caught him off guard at her last question, his green eyes widening before her. "Um, well you see, it is always good to try new things, no?" he chucked softly not wanting her to worry herself over him and his own troubles he had to deal with. "I just felt like maybe it would be fun, I can connect with my homeland again as well as possibly learn something I will enjoy doing on occasions." It wasn't her fault but he wanted to change the subject. "Um maybe can I interest you in another type of wine Miss?"
